UK Work Permit
A UK work permit is usually obtained by a UK based employer who is offering you a skilled role for which you are either relevantly qualified or suitably experienced. It is not possible to apply for a UK work permit as an individual. A UK work permit is specific to the employer who obtains it and is not transferable to a different job or employer. It is also usually not possible for a recruitment agency, umbrella company or similar to apply for a UK work permit.
A UK work permit can in some instances lead to permanent residency in the UK as well as British citizenship.
