HSMP Extension to HSW -Tier 1
The Highly Skilled Migrant Programme has now been replaced by Tier 1 Highly Skilled Worker. For those who are still on the old programme and require to extend their current conditions for a further three years. These applicants may extend their conditions under the PBS Highly Skilled Worker - Tier 1(General).
The requirements for extending a current HSMP visa differs from that of an initial Highly Skilled Worker application. Transitional arrangements have been set aside for HSMP holders. Therefore applications for extending may be considered on the following criteria:
- Current HSMP visa
- English Language skills
- Maintenance funds
Switching from Work Permit to HSW – Tier 1
The Work Permit Scheme has now been replaced by Tier 2 Skilled Worker. However for those who are qualified may apply for an initial application under the PBS Tier 1 (General) The requirements for switching to HSW are similar to that of an initial application under the HSW category, therefore please contact our advisers for further information.
